Aaron Quichocho

Position Title
Community Organizer | Strategic Asian and Pacific Islander Retention Initiative

Aaron (he/him/his) is a 4th-year Mechanical Engineering transfer student. After graduation, he plans to pursue a career in the renewable energy industry and continue supporting hxstorically underrepresented and marginalized scholars in his local community.

As a first-generation, queer CHamoru student, he cares about the success and well-being of Pasifika students at UC Davis. He grew up in Guam, attended community college in SoCal, and transferred to UC Davis during the pandemic. In his experience, having a network of support and guidance is vital for navigating the challenges of higher education and feeling you belong in it.

Through the Retention Initiative, he aims to empower Asian and Pacific Islander students by fostering community connections, raising visibility, and ensuring students’ needs are met. Alongside being a student and Community Ambassador, Aaron also enjoys cooking, knitting, rollerblading, and exploring the outdoors.

You can contact Aaron via email or Linkedin with any questions or if you would just like to connect!
