Community and Physical Space

SAandPIRI aims to create spaces of care and support for all students at UC Davis. We work closely with our campus partners to provide community and study space as we continue to advocate for a future center space.

Office Hours

The Office of AandPI Academic Student Success is open Mondays from from 10am to 3:30pm and Tuesdays through Fridays from 10 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Staff can also be accessed via email at apiretention@ucdavis.edu

Closed university holidays. Hours for summer and quarter breaks may vary – please contact our office for details. Review the latest protocols regarding campus safety before your visit.

Advising Appointments

The Office of Asian and Pacific Islander Academic Student Success is located in the University House Annex. SAandPIRI operations are also conducted out of this office and students may meet with the staff for their in-person advising appointments at this location. For other events and programs, please contact our office for further assistance.

Studying with SAandPIRI

Study space can be reserved in the Student Community Center (SCC) and is typically co-hosted with one of our campus partners or AandPI Registered Student Organizations. The Student Community Center also offers extended study hours, lounges, meeting rooms, and computer labs. Currently, the Office of Asian and Pacific Islander Academic Student Success at the University House Annex cannot accommodate large events or programs.

Looking for our Center?

The Strategic Asian and Pacific Islander Retention Initiative was established in Spring 2019 with an office located in 2405 Student Community Center (SCC). In Fall 2023, SAandPIRI opened the Office of Asian and Pacific Islander Academic Student Success located in the University House Annex. In-person advising appointments are held in this office, as well as access to other services and programs. SAandPIRI is projected to open their inaugural academic student success center in Fall 2025 to align with the Academic Retention Initiatives' mission of providing services and programs to all students at UC Davis.

Your feedback in this process is vital and will help us in the development of our future center. Let us know your thoughts regarding space via email at apiretention@ucdavis.edu
